Introducing
paper flower art
To mark the release of her book, Paper Flowers, and the 2nd anniversary of the release of Paper Flower Art
Jessie chose 5 of the most beautiful images of her arrangements from the books and reinterpreted them to say more. Much more.
Each arrangement is comprised of flowers, branches, and foliage made from paper and various other media. They represent an exploration of colour and form.
Using digital magic, the images of these arrangements now sit behind a white frame with bits and pieces of flowers and vines reaching out creating a more immersive experience for the viewer.

Coral and Magenta
A vibrant and richly coloured arrangement set in a large Delft blue and white ginger jar, it elicits memories of the sweet scent of fruit blossoms and sweet peas in the spring, along with the musky flavour of summer garden roses. Clematis vines create a trail of pink star-shaped blooms. Large, voluminous Coral Charm peonies appear at the height of their beauty, while small and delicate ball dahlias and pink phlox dance around them.
White and Green
A gardener’s delight of white blooms layered upon white, white and more white flowers! Set in a terracotta compote, the white panda anemones are the stars of this arrangement and are beautifully paired with fluffy white ranunculi, gorgeous white garden roses, and delicate sweet peas. Dancing above the berry branches and variegated foliage are delightfully dainty cupcake cosmos. Finally, dotted campanula bell flowers and hanging clematis vines trail down the arrangement in a dramatic but modest fashion.
More than a still life, these floral portraits break free from the frame, offering a lush, immersive experience of three-dimensional beauty.
Peach and Pink
A flourish of sorbet-coloured roses - two types of garden roses and the special Koko loko roses - sit high on a mint-coloured pedestal compote. Between them are ombre-coloured panicle hydrangeas, soft pink sweet peas, pink rosebuds, cupcake cosmos and tiny texture flowers. Ferns in a sour chartreuse point in every direction, mimicking the strong lines of the fiery-coloured parrot tulips.
Yellow and blue
A brightness that cannot be contained with its yellow wild roses and rose buds, textured ball dahlias, and happy collerette dahlias. Delicate phlox flowers and wild berry branches bring a touch of blue and the sky to this otherwise glowing arrangement sitting within a concrete compote.
Purple and Mauve
This intricate gathering of deep purple feathery parrot tulips, purplish ranunculi, and violet wide-eye anemones alongside burgundy chocolate cosmos and reddish clematis vines. Koko loko roses and ranunculi in mauve pink, accompanied with mauve purple bell flowers add a lightness to the colouring. Golden caramel cafe ranunculus and cherry caramel phlox bring a hint of brightness to the otherwise darker palette.
